With nearly 700k first generation Camaros produced in just 3 years, the second gen Camaro was expected to be a big hit. General Motors engineers even went on to call it more of "A Driver's Car" than its predecessor. With the completion of many of the "Interstate Highway System" controlled access roads in the 1970s General Motors's common advertising theme was offering "A Better Way To Travel The USA" which you'll see in many of the advertisments below.
